Evangelist Goldie M. Turner was the daugher of the late Moses and Carrie Saunders. She was born January 25, 1914 in Fayette County and departed this life March 15, 1984.


She confessed a hope in Christ at the age of nine. She remained faithful, and loyal to the Church until her death. She accepted her calling from God and became an Evangelist. She was also a member of the Senior Choir and at the time of her death she was the President of the Senior Choir. 

Her presence will be greatly missed by her 

family and friends.


She was united in Holy Matrimony to Henry W. Ross. To this union one son was born, Raymond Ross.

She was later united in Matrimony to William Turner. To this union three daughters were born, Mary, Anna, and Naomi Turner.

She leaves to mourn her passing: 1 son, Bishop Raymond Ross (Lexington); three daughters, Mrs. Mary Freeman, Ms. Anna Turner (Detroit, Mchigan and Mrs. Naomi Conley; 4 sisters, Mrs. Ruth Webster, Mrs. Rachel Ross, Mrs. Louise Adams and Mrs. Flora Pinkston; two brothers, Eddie and Williams Saunders (Lexington); daughter-in-law, Mrs. Beverly Ross (Lexington); one aunt, Mrs. Willie Saunders (Louisville); 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; 3 sisters n law; three brothers in law; a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
