Ruth Eugenia Samuels was born October 3, 1926 and departed this life Sunday, June 3, 2007. She was a Fayette County native and daughter of the later Elder John Sidney and Celia Washington Hill. Sister Samuels was a member of the Star of Bethlehem Church. She was preceded in death by a sister, Esther Hill Parsons, and a brother, John Hill Jr. She leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Richard (Margaret) Wilson; two granddaughters, Stephanie (William) Evans and Stacy Wilson;; five great grandchildren, Dominick Evans, Tyler Evans, Brandon Howard, Michael and Katilyn Coffey; three brothers, George (Lek) Hill, Charles (Gladys) Hill and James Hill; sister, Rebecca Garrard; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, other relatives and friends. Two special friends Mattie Coffey and Winnie Marshall.
